The Challenge

Scientific laboratories and workshop test benches rely on stable, reliable compressed air to ensure accurate testing, repeatable results, and safe operation of specialised equipment.

At the Roma facility, compressed air was required to:

  • Support scientific laboratory equipment used in testing and analysis
  • Operate workshop test benches and associated tooling
  • Deliver consistent pressure and performance to avoid test variability
  • Be supported by reliable maintenance to minimise operational disruption

The challenge was delivering a compressed air solution that met these performance requirements while supporting ongoing operational reliability.

The QCAS Approach

QCAS supplied and installed new compressors sized appropriately for the facility’s laboratory and workshop requirements.

The scope of work included:

  • Installation of new compressor equipment to support scientific and workshop operations
  • Ensuring system configuration delivered stable, consistent air supply for sensitive applications
  • Commissioning the system to verify performance and reliability
  • Establishing a regular maintenance program to support long-term operation

QCAS’ approach focused on correct equipment selection, installation quality, and ongoing maintenance to ensure the system performs reliably in a technically demanding environment.

The Outcome

The new compressed air system now provides Schlumberger’s Roma facility with a dependable air supply supporting both laboratory and workshop activities.

Key outcomes include:

  • Reliable compressed air delivery for scientific laboratory operations
  • Consistent performance supporting workshop test benches
  • Reduced risk of disruption to testing and research activities
  • Ongoing system reliability through structured maintenance support

The project demonstrates QCAS’ capability to support technically demanding environments with reliable, professionally installed compressed air systems backed by long-term maintenance.
