Fixed-speed and variable-speed screw compressors, selected around your air demand and installed by QCAS.
QCAS helps workshops, manufacturers and processing facilities select rotary screw air compressors for sustained compressed air demand. We assess airflow, pressure, operating hours and air quality before recommending a compressor and the equipment around it. From our Toowoomba base, we supply and install systems throughout Queensland and Northern NSW. Routine servicing and breakdown support cover a 200 km radius from Toowoomba; support outside this area is agreed for the individual project.
Atlas Copco, Pilot Air, Senator and Focus offer screw compressor ranges featured in our brand guides. Model choice and availability depend on the required duty and configuration. The wider equipment guides below also cover piston and other compressor types if screw technology is not the best match. Ask QCAS to compare the options for your application.
A fixed-speed screw compressor runs at a set motor speed and regulates supply through its controls. A variable-speed drive (VSD) compressor adjusts motor speed within its operating range as demand changes. VSD can be useful where air demand varies, but it is not automatically the lowest-cost choice for every site. Compare the measured demand profile, minimum operating range, hours at load, pressure setting and the way multiple compressors will work together. Ask QCAS to assess the application before choosing a drive type. A larger motor or a VSD label alone does not establish which package will cost less to operate.
To prepare a recommendation, tell us the required airflow at working pressure, which machines run together, daily operating hours, peak demand and planned expansion. If those figures are unavailable, provide your current compressor details and describe any pressure or capacity problems. We also review electrical supply, ventilation, available space, noise and maintenance access. Dryers, filters, receiver storage, condensate management and distribution piping must suit the process as well as the compressor. Discuss oil-free requirements and required air quality before selecting an oil-injected package. Include the site location so installation logistics and ongoing service arrangements can be scoped together.
